Innovaero is excited to announce a new joint venture with BAE Systems Australia (BAESA), opening up a new chapter of growth and innovation for our company.
Innovaero will continue to deliver cutting-edge aerospace products and platforms, including, amongst others, the Bigeye camera system, OWL loitering munitions, FOX tactical UAS, and STRIX uncrewed systems currently in development and testing by our team.
As Innovaero Founder and Managing Director Mike von Bertouch commented, “This relationship with BAESA adds tremendous value as we mature as a trusted long-term supplier on major defence and civil aerospace projects. Critically, as Innovaero is now a jointly-owned business, we will continue to operate completely independently, maintaining and evolving our expertise in technology commercialisation and expanding our maintenance, repair and sustainment services through our Aviation Composites subsidiary. This independence is essential as Innovaero is committed heavily to various joint projects and teaming arrangements with other defence primes and civil clients, all of which remain unaffected.
With BAE Systems Australia as a shareholder rather than 100% owner, Innovaero can draw upon valuable specialist resources from time to time to value-add our services and capability without affecting our agile SME culture. This joint ownership positions Innovaero for even greater success in delivering transformative aerospace systems. Day-to-day operations of Innovaero will be ‘business as usual’, with the only change being the addition of Marcus Colman to the management team as Joint Managing Director and the creation of a Board.
